Garden Journal March 19, 2018, the third installment of my garden journey. I will be blogging and vlogging all that is happening in my gardens throughout the season.
Garden Journal March 19, 2018. I am late with this installment of the garden journal. It rained most of the week which went far in melting the snow you will see in the photos. There is a video at the end of this post where I walk you around my garden then into the greenhouse.
Lets get started. I try to start at the same spot each week….beside my Greenhouse. The snow is doing quite the number on it but that will all be taken care of soon. This guy is going to get new roof panels.
Secret Garden (back garden)
My Secret Garden is fully covered again after I crowed about the dirt beginning to show. It takes a little while longer than the lower back garden to clear as the tall trees block more of the sun. Next weeks post and video show a big difference.
The side garden on the way to my Flower Patch Cottage studio. On the right bottom of the photo you can see the climbing roses budding out despite the cold winter weather.
My front garden is just as covered and will take some drastic amounts of rain to wash away. Tomorrow is the first official day of Spring but someone needs to tell the weather. (it is not unusual for us to get snow on into May here and there so that is just a general rant)
The week of March 19th brought rain, rain and more rain. On one hand folks in a neighboring town got flooded out of their homes but here it just washed away a good portion of the snow. Though outside is snowy I have green stuff growing in my humble little greenhouse.
Join me in my next post on my 2018 Garden Journal for March 26.
The Video which I include a segment of how my side garden looks in bloom, just to break up all the monotony of white!
Hows the weather in your neck of the woods? Are you enjoying Spring flowers yet?
