Garden Journal March 12, 2018
I have started a Garden Journal for the year, 2018. Come along with me as you see my garden transform week by week as it happens.
Garden Journal March 12, 2018. This is the second installment of my 2018 garden journal. I am very late with this but life had a few left turns for me this past week.
As you can see we have bare ground again, which is great because I have bare root roses to get into the ground rather than in the garage.
We had a couple days of rain which washed away the snow. I was never more happy to see rain!
As you can see the snow has not all been washed away but the back gets more shade. The two metal obelisks in the center of this photo (they are kind of hard to see) have sweet peas planted all around them.
Stepping down into the lower back garden shows it has already all melted. The sun does hit this part of the garden over the tall pines early on in the day so it is warmer.
I have sugar snap peas planted around the tall wood obelisk and along the metal fencing. Everything is a bit grubby looking.
You can really see how my greenhouse is needing some TLC.
Once we get inside it looks not much different than last time but I do have some gallon pots with Dahlias planted in them, I will get them started then take cuttings for even more.
One last look and that is at the front garden. Lots of bare ground. yippee!
