A Lovely Garden
This post is for the pure love of flowers and gardening. I had a chance to visit a friends garden that is just spectacular. A relaxing bit of a walk amongst some gorgeous blooms and I thought you would appreciate a snippet.
The Iris were just finishing up and I missed the best blooms by a week but what was left was still an eyeful. This beauty is appropriately named “Cinnamon”.
Thankfully, my hostess had name tags beside all her Iris, which made it so easy to identify them and jot down names of what I want to get in the future. Nothing like seeing them in real life as opposed to just a photo.
This one has a floozy of a name…”Color Tart”.
But then I was so overwhelmed with getting the next shot I failed to get names.
Drats!
But I know where she lives and I shall return.
Compared to her luxurious plantings my little garden is just a patch but I am working on filling it to the brim with all the loveliest of blooms.
I will show up at her house next with a cardboard sign that reads “Will work for plants.” For instructions on separating Iris and getting more CLICK HERE.
I will have my garden gloves with me to pitch in and weed a bit.
And when she is ready to divide any of these babies they will be MINE!
I love how the backdrop plant just sets off the pink of this one. I failed to get the name of either the backdrop plant or the Iris but like I said, I shall return.
This one is definitely on my want list…it is called “Shakin All Over”
And this one…so bright with a splash of burgundy.. “Brainstorm”
The Iris colors ranged from subtle and sweet to eye popping bright.
I loved them all.
But wait.. there is more, oh so much more. I will spare your eyes today but I will share again. There are rhododendrons and a few peonies too along with a few more Iris.
I so hope you enjoyed the Garden Tour so far!
Happy Gardening,

I am sure they will do great! And you will be addicted. If you are looking for more gorgeous colors try http://www.schreinersgardens.com/ I am not affiliated with them, I just am always impressed with their selection, price and quality of the rhizomes they send.
