Delicious Homemade English Muffins
Delicious Homemade English Muffins, easier than you think and much better than store bought!
In the cooler months of Fall and Winter baking is one of my favorite things to do, the other is eating what I bake. These homemade English muffins are so easy to make and believe it our not, you don’t use your oven.
So we need a delicious breakfast to start the day. These Homemade English Muffins are the ticket. To make it a well rounded meal just add some eggs and bacon, the protein balances out the carbs and keeps you going at top speed for hours. My husband likes cheese on his while I prefer it without.
Homemade English muffins are simple to make, I do use my bread machine (this one linked even does jam!) which takes some of the work out of it, but a KitchenAid mixer works too. Interestingly enough you don’t bake them, you dry fry them on a griddle.
The grainy stuff you see is Cream of Wheat aka Farina. The recipe is not my creation but comes from King Arthur Flour site. I love their flour (it does make a difference in flavor than other flours from my experience) and they have tons of baking recipes to choose from. I am not an affiliate of theirs, just giving credit where credit is due.
I have to make adjustments for baking at higher elevations but they have a great detailed page on that too.
Next on my list is to make this English Muffin toasting bread.
I had posted this on another site over a year ago. I forgot to put it up here for my readers so now I am finally getting to it.
Happy Baking!

No better way than to give it a whirl. 🙂 That is how I find the best recipes, try and try again.
Ok, got it! Thanks! It looks easy enough. However, I’m going to try it like the Artisan 5 min bread method. The texture may not be the same….one way to find out tho’…I’ll just do it!
The link is the red King Arthur Flour wording. I will link it here for you…http://www.flowerpatchfarmhouse.com/delicious-homemade-english-muffins/
