I am behind as usual…I have some special orders and people are waiting.
I really don’t like the pressure that can bring, but such is the case with custom orders.
I do love doing customs signs and paintings but sometimes life gets in the way and I get behind, though I have the most patient customers and I do appreciate that!
This one is not quite done but I needed feedback from the customer so I sent her a photo and hope to hear back soon and get it done.
Awenasa is Cherokee for Our Home or House.
This one didn’t pass muster with the customer, the aqua in the middle was too blue for her, I sent her a redone photo today and hope the new color will be a fit.
The border is supposed to be coral but the photo makes it look more red than in person. The light was not optimum at this time but I was in a hurry.
(learn from me, big mistake, take your time and do it right)
I have been practicing my food photography a little.
I relied way too long on Auto on my camera and I am forcing myself to learn how to shoot only in Manual.
The breakfast sandwiches we made from the homemade English Muffins…delish! I already know what is wrong with the above photo.
If I can spot what is wrong then all these lessons are sticking in my head.
And I have been fitting in some mixed media painting. I love old dictionary pages and these pages cried out for a nest. I tried to hunt down an N page with the word nest on it but never did find one.
Maybe I can go to the thrift store tomorrow and see if they have any old dictionaries. These two pages here were an L page with the word Love on it and an H page.
I am going to put it in the gallery and see what kind of response I get.
I had a lot of fun with this one and I want to do some with birds painted on them.
Adios for now…
