Good Morning! What a grand day it is.
The sun is shining, so far but we are anticipating a storm rolling in with low snow levels by tomorrow. The ski resort is dancing a jig!
I am happy too, our dying forest needs all it can get and though I am not fond of cold and snow I am very happy to get all the precipitation we can get to save the rest of the trees.
I desperately need to get out and do a bit of Fall pruning on my roses so the snow does not snap off the canes. I have seen plenty of garden posts saying NOT to prune in Fall and I say to that “Hogwash”!
There is no one size fits all in caring for roses so some in milder weather locations don’t need to prune in Fall.
But there is a purpose and need in many areas to do a bit of judicious pruning in Fall and I will do a post on that this week.
I have my bulbs all planted, and many perennials moved to the Secret Garden. It should be glorious this next summer. I still have a couple roses to get moved yet but I still have time to do that. Even if the snow gets up to 6 inches as has been predicted here I can dig it out enough to transplant.
Buddy Bear has been visiting again, he made a mess in the back of my husbands truck. Clue number one, don’t forget to go to the dump and leave the trash in your pick up bed.
Here he is eyeing my chickens…..the rascal!
If you saw my last post I mentioned I am painting on glass, I have been asked to do some tutorials so I will be working on those this week too.
Beware! Glass painting is a bit addicting.
I just finished painting the glasses to match this..I will share a photo of them soon too.
I know many will be traveling this week, Be Safe!

Pamela, your bottles are beautiful. What is the terra cotta thing called you insert into the top and flip the bottle so it will water your plant. I cannot remember what you called it on one of your posts before.
Thanks.

Those are actually dead pines. California, unfortunately, has been losing millions and millions of trees due to the extended drought. They are not really pink, but brownish yellow. Sad but true.

Absolutely gorgeous! You are so talented. I would be so frightened seeing a bear that close. :)

Yes, seeing Mr. Bear that up close and personal did get my heart rate going! But he was more interested in finding goodies to eat that from the fruit trees. Thankfully he has not gotten a taste for humans.

Pamala That is absolutely beautiful. You have a great talent. Wishing you a nice Thanksgiving. I live in upstate ny. We have bears here also but I don't want to see it walking through my yard. I am thinking you are up northern California. In 1969 I lived in Vista down by San Diego. My husband was stationed in Oceanside we were there for 6 months and it seemed like all it did was pour. I pray you get some snow and rain for the trees. I don't like hearing about the big fires in Calif. Dot

Thank you, Dot. We are getting a bit of snow today so it is looking more like it should this time of year. WE can only hope it continues thru to April.
