Yay, one of my mystery Dahlias was Cafe Au Lait. I had hoped it’s brethren were amongst the saved too but so far the others have yet to bloom. Voles devastated most of my tubers last year and i tried to save the ones least damaged. Sadly most did not make it through the winter but the few that did are making me very happy. The next photo is my Gardenia that sits in the back deck in a tub container and smells like heaven.

You’ve got to love volunteer flower’s in the g

You’ve got to love volunteer flower’s in the garden. They know where they want to grow and do so with aplomb. If they are in a spot I don’t t wish them I merely edit them out. The cleome I was worried about not sprouting....well I found several seedlings today. They just needed me to get those faded and done Foxgloves chopped back so they got some sun.

Have I shared my Purple Rooster Monarda yet? Next to the blue larkspur it seems more fuchsia but it really is more purple. I had dug this up and transplanted it to another spot yet here it is back in the same spot. I must’ve left a piece of root. That’s okay, I will just enjoy it.

When a friend calls you up needing 12 bouquets picked from your garden! I started at 6:30 this morning and now it is 8:45. Phew! Do t they look gorgeous!

Blues are always welcome in the summer garden. It cools all the hot yellows starting to take over. And the last is a video of the bear cub that has been making himself a nuisance every afternoon. If he isn’t harassing the chickens he is getting in the greenhouse and damaging things. The sudden drop of the camera was me hurrying to get the hose to spray the bear away from the chicken pen. He didn’t like the hard jet of water hitting him but he kept coming back after running out of reach a few times.
