How to Paint a Mason Jar
I have been working on a new painting tutorial for you and thought to share a quick clip of how to paint one element of the entire design. This is so easy and with practice you can get a feel for the paint and Paint a Mason Jar with ease.
The painting in the photo above is not complete, I have left a big gap that needs filling. When I am doing my videos many times I am working on the fly and after walking away then coming back I can see where I need to fix a painting. This is how I work in real life most of the time as well so I am always fixing.
I am using this painting as a reference. When I was testing out this painting I thought I wanted a bright background but then I decided I wanted the jar and tulips to be what shines.

So here is what I have been working on for a tutorial but I am struggling with a background. I keep changing it trying to find one that 'speaks to me'. Obviously I am not there yet. Plus I have changed the color of the tulips twice now. #decorative painting #art #paintingtutorial #tulips #masonjar
Can you see where I goofed on my tulip placement in the new painting. I may need to add some filler flowers and enlarge a couple of the tulips. But that is okay. I will show that too in my final video.
This video is just for the mason jar and I show you on a piece of card stock paper. You can work with your painting to get the jar more evenly colored but I wanted to give you the basics of how to paint one. I will include a jar sketch to use when I release the video of the complete painting.
With this basic element you can add whatever flowers you please.
