Lilacs Watercolor Inspiration
Good Morning! A new week is to begin and it looks to be a lovely one.
On Facebook I shared a watercolor rendering of a photo of a enamelware pitcher of lilacs and was asked if it was for sale. No I don’t have it for sale but you can download it here. Please it is for personal use only.
The higher resolution downloadable does not have the wording on it, if any want it with the wording just say so and I will make it available too.
I have been busy in the garden and getting the studio cleaned out. It is a much larger task than I anticipated as I have gotten too much clutter stashed in there. But I am making progress.
I also got a new lighting system for my video camera and will hopefully get back to my videos soon. Having the inside of the studio painted white to reflect light better will be a big fat plus as well as the new light.
We will be working on a new grey water system here so I can enjoy my garden through the California drought guilt free. A neighbor of ours has one set up already and I am going to get all the scoop from them and get mine installed ASAP! I will share all the details here when we do.
My Lilacs from Cuttings post is very popular… many are wanting to start their own and I can’t blame them. One bouquet of lilacs in the home can perfume it for days and days..
And a Lilac in the garden can bring the loveliest fragrance to your garden for weeks.
Here is my neighbors lilac that I have taken cuttings from. You can see the flowers are a bit different than the one above (taken from a different lilac in another neighbors yard) but these smell just as gorgeous!
Closer you can really see the comparison..
I will take cuttings from both in a few weeks when the new growth gets very pronounced.
Have a great week!
