Learn to Paint Orange Pumpkins one easy stroke at a time.  A fun pattern for Fall decorations and crafts.

Are you ready to learn to paint Orange Pumpkins?

Learn How to Paint Orange Pumpkins, easy and so fun. Great for Fall decor or crafts! FlowerPatchFarmhouse.com

Great because these little pumpkins are so fun.  Easy and bright, great for Fall crafts and decor!
When I shared my Fall Scrabble Tile art I had a two sided tile in place of the A.  One side had a Fall Leaf painting and the other an Orange Pumpkin.
See that post here Easy DIY Fall Scrabble Tiles for your decor! Pumpkin and leaf painting tutorials included! Use up that scrap wood. FlowerPatchFarmhouse.com

I have already shared how to paint the leaves HERE and now it is time to show you how I paint the orange pumpkins.  I have a link to a video at the end of this post.

Supply List:
#12 Flat Brush.
Americana Decoart paints
Tangelo Orange
Georgia Clay
Banana Cream or you can use Folk Art Sunflower instead of Banana Cream
Folkart Burnt Umber
Folkart Floating Medium
Brush Caddy

For a tutorial on getting the crackle effect visit this post: How to Use Crackle Medium
Start with sketching out your pumpkin.  I made mine leaning forward a tad this time.

I double load my #12 Flat brush with the Tangelo Orange and Georgia Clay.  I stroke the Georgia Clay side down the outside edges of the pumpkin ridges and the Tangelo Orange toward the center.

When I get to the center I paint both sides of it as I did the other pumpkin ridges then just fill in the center with the Tangelo Orange. How to Paint an Orange Pumpkin, FlowerPatchFarmhouse.com-0018

While the paint is still wet I load some of the Sunflower yellow (or Banana Cream) into my brush (I did not clean my brush first), I touch in and blend where I want some bit of highlighting. How to Paint an Orange Pumpkin, FlowerPatchFarmhouse.com-0021

I clean my brush and squeeze dry before double loading some Sunflower and Burnt Umber.  I stroke upwards my stem.  Learn How to Paint an Orange Pumpkin, great for Fall decor and crafts. Easy and so much FUN! FlowerPatchFarmhouse.com

In the video I show how I shadow around the outside edges and added a bit of white highlights but those are totally optional.  As well as after taking a second look at this pumpkin I thought the stem too narrow.  So in the video I show how I widen it and fix the base of it.
Now you have a gorgeous orange pumpkin!

To watch me paint this pumpkin from start to finish, and then some…here you are…
