Happy November 1st!
This year is winding down fast.
October was a busy painting month.
Custom orders typically pick up in October.
People are thinking ahead for the holidays.
Custom hand painted signs make great gifts.
And though I was sick a couple weeks of October with Strep Throat I still managed to get signs painted.
Have you ever heard of a Rallus?
I hadn’t until I a was asked to paint one for this sign.
An interesting bird.
I learn something new all the time!
This Family Rules sign below shipped out today.
It is to be a gift for someone and I did not want to spoil the surprise by revealing the custom name added.
The Apple and Pear paintings were added to the website.
A sweet lady ordered a Faux Vintage Clock
and she sent me this sweet note:
“I received my faux clock today.
WOW I fell in love with this online, but it is even more stunning in person …
Thank you for your courtesy, promptness, and most of all your talent. Truly beautiful !!! “
It is always nice to know that the customer is more than pleased with my work.
Sweet comments like this makes my heart smile.
I need to make another to list on the website.
Last but not least a sign a couple wished to add to their new Florida home.
after dealing with snow and cold this week Florida sounds heavenly!
On another note…
I am working on redoing my dining area.
I will share soon.
It will take me some time to get it all done as I just do a little here and there but it should still be fun and I am ready to spend some time getting my house spruced up a bit.
I am also learning the features of my Nikon D5100 camera in Auto Mode.
It stopped working in Manual Mode, a glitch with this camera that is common, or so I have read online.
It can be fixed but most have found the problem reoccurs and the wait time in getting it fixed can be months.
I can’t go without my camera for months.
I use it daily.
So my alternative is to learn all I can about the nifty Auto features to get the photos I want until I can replace it.
Maybe I will also learn better ways to get good quality videos.
I want to do more Painting Tutorial videos so learning how to make them better will make them easier on your eyes.
Have a great weekend everyone!
