I managed it! I hand sketched a coloring page. I think I used up an entire Magic Rub Eraser fixing all my faux pas but I eventually got it to where I was happy.
Here it is…

Since I don’t have markers or colored pencils to do the coloring I thought I would just paint it and share with you how I did it in video format…go ahead and watch it, I had fun. Just ignore any muttering I do..
Here is your Supply List:
DecoArt Americana Craft Acrylics
Saffron Yellow if you already have a dark yellow like True Ochre, you can use that as well.
Cadmium Yellow
Burnt Umber
Raw Sienna
Lt. Buttermilk
Tangelo Orange I ended up using more of the yellow than the Tangelo Orange so this color is not absolutely necessary.
Georgia Clay
Evergreen
Avocado
Brushes:
Royal Majestic Round #8 & 10/0 liner the liner is in this combo pack
Royal Majestic filbert #2 Also available in this combo pack
The paper I use to do many of my tutorials on is:
Canson 11 x 14 Multi Media 98# it works great for learning to paint on and it comes in other sizes.
Once painted I decided to make it a printable. Now if you have it printed like at Staples or other such places it turns out much better than with a home printer but it still looks fine printed from home.
Here is a downloadable PDF of the painted version. For some reason it wants to print much larger than a typical page so just make sure your print settings are set to “fit to page”.

Though hand drawing everything (except the lettering, that is something I am just starting to learn) was a stretch for me I did have fun with it. My goal is to produce one coloring page a month. Saying that here commits me, for now. I say for now because I may decide it is not worth the time it is taking me or life throws me a curve ball.
That happens a lot around here. But one a month is a goal. I will pick a theme and work on sketching things in that theme then combining them into a printable.
Along the way I am going to try my hand at the writing part of it all too.
Until next time! Happy Coloring ~ Painting!

Wow! Thank you! I’m a little nervous to start painting with a blank paper, but this makes it look doable!

I am really trying hard to learn to draw, painting is so much easier for me. But slowly I am coming along. 🙂
