Downloadable December Calendar Coloring Page
Hello all. I have been neck deep in my impressionism painting workshop and it is challenging to be sure. Yet, I am enjoying it immensely. My Facebook and Instagram friends have gotten a view of my latest painting and I thought I should share it here.
I am loving the bright colors especially as the dark days of winter near. The workshop is a wonderful learning experience for me. Even if one of my paintings is a total flop I learn something valuable along the way.
Another thing I am trying to learn is to draw. Not difficult things or realism but just simple, basic shapes. Add to all that I am trying to be better organized so I am going to print out a calendar month at the beginning of each month and fill it in with goals and a halfway decent schedule. We shall see how that flies.
I am all about fun too so I am making it a coloring book calendar. For December I wanted something other than the norm. I dismissed the idea of snowmen, poinsettias etc and I tried to think of what will make me feel warm and comfy when it is cold outside.
Hot coffee, tea and chocolate came to mind so I went with drawing up some coffee cups with a bit of floral embellishments…because I love flowers.
I made made one concession to winter with a solitary snowflake above “December” but I was trying to make the tips look like leaves.
I am going to color it in with my favorite brush pens by Tombow. These are the Primary colors but I have other sets on my Wish List.
I got mine on Amazon but you may be able to find them at hobby stores. I love the way they flow and have such a fine tip for detail work.
I will sit and finish coloring it tonight and maybe brainstorm my schedule. I am including a link to a downloadable file of the Calendar page for anyone that would like to color and organize with me.
Happy Coloring!
