Be Someone’s Rainbow Inspiration
(to download the above please click here, for personal use only please) Happy Monday!
Today is certainly cloudy here but we are rejoicing in the rain and even snow that is to fall (or so they tell us, we shall see).
Even I am joyful, a bona fide winter loathing, snow hater.
I had a great weekend. Lots of raking and hauling of leaves and pine needles to bury my garden for the winter. I divided and replanted several iris.
My Secret Garden is going to be fabulous next Spring! I can’t wait.
I still need to order some Allium bulbs and I must hurry before everyone is sold out, I may already be too late! Can’t you just imagine a wave of these blooming.
What about this gorgeous Purple Prince Tree Lily, what a statement plus you get the glorious scent!
I do need to include more white in the garden, so it glows at night. I am brainstorming that one. Maybe some Delphineums in white, Hollyhocks and I do love honey scented Alyssum.
Soooo many choices and so little room! I do need to move a couple roses, they are in areas that will be too shady, they are beside the arbor benches and once the climbing vines cover the arbors the roses are completely shaded.
The morning glories were just getting started while the rose is on the North side of this arbor, so when they filled in the rose received no sun.
With little sun it only bloomed sparingly instead of being filled with bouquets and bouquets of luscious white roses, as it usually is. I had not realized just how exuberant the Morning Glories would get or how much they would shade that spot. So relocating the rose is a must.
Later this afternoon I will share a lovely photo of snow covering my garden, probably on Facebook or Instagram. I am going to do my best to remain bright and cheerful even if we have the wettest, snowiest winter on record. When the cold and snowy weather starts to get to me I will keep reminding myself of what it means to my garden and what a grand Spring and Summer I will have.
Plus planning out my Secret Garden and all that I will put in it will also help. I need to make out a sketch of a plan so it is not too willy nilly!
So off I go now to my studio to paint.
Here is a fun good morning from the Ladies.
Happy New Week everyone! And remember….be a rainbow!
