Though I call the palm trees by the wrong names in the video you get the idea of how easy it is to paint them.  Refer to my Easy Beach Scene and Palm Tree Tutorials for more tips and tricks.

I definitely need to work on making waves and will try and master that and share in the future.

Here is the video.

After stepping back and looking at the painting I realized the Fan Palm on the right was just not right.  The trunk is too light so I needed to use a different color for the contrast or go from the bottom to the stop with the layers.

Also my clouds were to symmetrical and on the same plane.  Not good.  I went back and changed them.   Never be afraid to change things up if you don’t like them.  I will most likely go over the trunk on the palm on the left, the lightness of it really does bother me.

I think I like the painting better on a wider canvas too but this worked to show you how you can put it together and have fun with it.

Here is a sign I painted with a similar scene. I did the sand with a sponge on this one and it is painted on wood.

Add a couple beach chairs….
hand painted signs for coastal decor, some great beach art to get that warm vibe, almost as good as a trip to the shore.

the umbrella is nice too.  I have painted some with flip flops stuck in the sand, there is so many ways you can go with it and make it your own.

Happy Painting!
